You need a bowl adapter/a leveling bowl to be able to level quickly without having to fiddle with the ball head, for example. They are extremely flexible and can react quickly to environmental influences or changes in perspective. There are always special shooting situations that require a precisely leveled camera position, but you cannot precisely align the tripod with the integrated spirit level. For these challenges, the bowl adapter has its own level (spirit level) and can be precisely aligned and fixed.
