The Rollei 49mm ND Filter Premium - a gray filter with a strength of ND64 (6 stops / 1.8) that extends the maximum exposure time by six f -stops. This makes it suitable for particularly demanding nature and architecture shoots, as well as for long-term exposure during the day, or for photographing water surfaces of flowing water with a velvety soft effect. Gray filter ND64 with Gorilla®* Glass & Luminance Coating – duo for the highest optical quality

The Rollei Premium ND64 gray filter for 49mm lenses is made of aluminum and Gorilla® glass from the renowned specialist manufacturer Corning Inc. from the US state of New York . Gorilla® Glass is used exclusively for high-quality and durable displays of premium smartphones and high-end photo optics. In a complicated process, the ions of the glass material are exchanged at the molecular level by a boiling hot bath in an alkaline solution. The resulting increase in the surface tension of the glass body gives the Gorilla®* glass legendary resistance to the effects of the weather, heavy soiling, scratches and contact with sharp or pointed objects. In the rare case of permanent damage to the filter surface, the coating prevents further material chipping - scratches and grooves do not grow further or lead to structural fractures. The Luminance Coating, which was developed by Rollei exclusively for the new generation of filters, reliably prevents distortion and reflections and guarantees impressive color neutrality even under unfavorable conditions. All image information and optical characteristics of the original motif are retained and transferred to the memory card. Tip: to use your camera filters optimally, you should always work with a tripod , especially for long exposures with gray filters .
