In our F:X Pro filter series, we have, among other things, refined our ND filters (Neutral Density). The job of ND filters is to reduce the light that hits your camera sensor. We have provided the filters, which are available in the sizes 100 x 100 millimeters and 150 x 150 millimeters, with our Luminance Coating so that they are 99.5 percent non-reflective. This guarantees you razor-sharp images - even with "high-end" cameras with 150 MP. Color fidelity is exemplary, which means you can capture your surroundings exactly as you saw them.

For this you need ND filters:

  • Depiction of movements through longer exposure times
  • Removal of moving objects from the picture
  • Emphasizing the subject by softening the background
  • Increasing the aperture - reducing the depth of field

Our ND filters are available in various intensities and stops. A stop means that the amount of light falling on the sensor is reduced by one f-stop. Depending on which filter and how many stops you use, you will have to increase your shutter speed by the same number of stops. This allows you to capture magically drawn images with longer exposure times, even in sunshine. For example, you can blur moving elements in your image composition, which when recording a river ensures that the water looks silky - but larger stones in the river are drawn sharply because they are not moving. Do you want to photograph a tourist attraction like the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, but preferably without people in the picture? This is also not a problem with an ND filter. Due to the long exposure, only the immobile architecture remains in the picture. However, plan enough time for your long-term recording, because depending on the setting, it can take several minutes to an hour.

Depending on how much light should hit the sensor, you can of course combine our filters with each other. And so that no light reflection can be seen on your work that doesn't belong there, our rectangular filters also have a foam cover that prevents light from entering between the filter and the lens.

Our filters are extremely durable thanks to Gorilla® glass. Its special manufacturing process makes it particularly resistant and at the same time brings with it high light transmission and color neutrality. Our anti-scratch layer makes dirt easy to remove and also gives the glass its special hardness. But it is not only scratch- and break-resistant - it is also temperature-resistant. We tested this under the highest quality standards in intense heat and extreme cold. Want the best filters we've ever built? With our F:X Pro you get them.
