It is not only long exposures that require a tripod, macro shots, which require exact focusing in the millimeter range, only succeed if the camera can be fixed and properly aligned. Unfortunately, despite the undeniable advantages, the tripod is often missing when you need it most. The reason is simple: a solid tripod is bulky and weighs a few kilograms. In luggage, it often doesn't even fit diagonally in the suitcase and nobody wants to carry ballast around for kilometers on hikes. With the Compact Traveler Mini M-1 (formerly M5-Mini) tripod, you combine the advantages of a travel tripod with the carrying capacity of a full-size tripod. Made from lightweight aluminium, the Compact Traveler Mini M-1 weighs just 800 grams including the tripod head. The legs each consist of five segments and can therefore be pushed together to a pack size of 15 cm - the Rollei M5-Mini is hardly larger than the palm of your hand. When extended, you reach a working height of between 16 and 42 cm, ideal for macro photography, but also for placing your camera on walls, a window sill or a car roof for night shots, group shots with a self-timer or panoramas. The Rollei M5-Mini carries at least 8 kg, which is also enough for a single-lens reflex camera with a large lens.

A variety of functions with well thought-out details

The set includes a professional ball head that can be rotated 360 degrees and fixed with just one screw. You can easily attach your camera using the supplied quick-release plate with integrated spirit level for exact horizontal alignment. The tripod legs can be swiveled up and down and the center column can be mounted inverted - a very important feature for working close to the ground in micro and macro photography.
