UV Filter Premium round filter

The UV filter of the premium round filter series is one of the optical and screw-on lens attachments that are still used today. The main purpose of the special filters for UV light is to ensure that the ultraviolet component in sunlight is specifically blocked and cannot lead to unwanted color distortions. The UV light, which is invisible to the human eye, can also have a slightly disruptive effect on the sharpness of the image - which is particularly annoying with very large detail enlargements. In addition, a UV filter also has concrete mechanical advantages - due to its otherwise image-neutral properties , it can remain permanently screwed to the lens (even when taking pictures without daylight) and protects the expensive optics from damage . Precisely because most camera sensors nowadays block UV light ex works, the inexpensive and reliable protection of expensive lenses is the most efficient area of application for today's UV filters. The Rollei Premium UV Filter is a high-quality round filter made from extremely robust and color-neutral Gorilla® Glass , which is additionally multiply coated with the so-called Luminance Coating . The solid front pane of the UV photo filter is effectively protected against signs of wear caused by mechanical stress, scratches, dirt and sand. At the same time, this ensures reliable and long-term protection for your high-quality lenses. And replacing a UV filter is a lot cheaper than having to buy a new lens. By the way: the practical round filters can be easily transported in the camera backpack or the lens case.

The Gorilla® glass from the well-known special manufacturer Corning Inc. from the US state of New York already enjoys a legendary reputation and is used for high-quality electronic and photo products. Through an extremely hot bath in a specially mixed liquid, the ions are exchanged at the molecular level - and give the glass extreme resistance. Even with a deep scratch, there are no material chips at the edges, further damage to the filter surface is reliably prevented.

The filter blanks are subjected to an additional coating - the Luminance Coating reduces reflections and reflections almost completely , but allows the light to pass through almost completely and absolutely color-neutral . In addition, oil, water or dirt are simply repelled , damage caused by mechanical influences is significantly reduced and uncompromising color fidelity is ensured from the moment of recording to storage.
